Pervigeo is a collaboration between myself and the talented photographer and producer, Filipa Dominguez (@checkmyplants).
Filipa has a keen eye for rare plant photography, boasting over 14.7k followers on Instagram, having been interviewed by CNN, and even delivering her own TED talk. Pervigeo is a series of posters that combine Filipa's photography with a strong 80s/90s editorial layout aesthetic.
"Pervigeo" is Latin for "To Bloom."
As is the case with all successful collaborations, finding a balance between our visions was crucial for everyone's satisfaction. Filipa's photographs, possibly owing to the rarity of the plants, exude a mysterious and almost primal energy. The inclusion of the Latin names and abstract geometric design elements invites an "otherworldly" interpretation of the artworks.
