Scott USA had the idea of a global collaboration for their snowboarding products. They wanted to create a project similar to a "chain letter", where artists from different continents would contribute to the artwork. I was the third artist to contribute when the canvas reached South Africa. I chose to draw a fisherman, which seemed fitting considering the canvas had traveled across the sea and still had a long way to go. At the time, I went by the artist name "Further" (inspired by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters' bus). I included this name in my artwork as a signature and to represent the distance between each artist. My illustration became the hero image on the packaging and t-shirt design.
